/internet/domains/subdomains.php The best way to handle different browsers and devices that will access your website is to use a subdomain. For instance an example of this would be http://www.m.alansclassroom.com. The 'm' is the subdomain for the domain 'alansclassroom.com'. 2012-03-18
I have a new ratings website that I am beginning to build and I have come up with the dilemna of how to handle the website design for different browsers on different devices. For instance, on my laptop using internet explorer the website looks great. But on my iPhone using Safari, it is way too small. I did a little research and came to the conclusin that the best way to handle this is by creating a subdomain. The alternatives would be to build a structure within my website that routes the browser to the appropriate pages or have each page determine what the browser is, then send the right css code. The subdomain seems to be the best choice.

Setup the Subdomain in your cPanel account. If this is an AddOn Domain, then be sure to specify a different location other than /public_html/[the subdomain name]
I chose to use the folder /public_html/m/[subdomain domains] as the location.

In dreamweaver, be sure to set the same ftp account, but point to the right directory.

This is a great explanation on how to do it:
